An opportunity has arisen for a inventory and shipping manager to work within the Dom Vetro team to manage our shipping and log our inventory. It is important that candidates have a high attention to detail and all shipments conform to quality standards.
Prepare daily shipments
Pick items to be completed for each order
Create invoices and shipping labels per order
Maintain accurate record keeping including updates to inventory management and shipping software
Create and manage bill of materials
Manage fulfillment of orders with USPS, FedEx, and UPS
Perform final quality control on outbound shipments
Manage inbound shipments for returns and repairs including shipments of raw materials that require stocking
Maintain accurate inventory control by logging finished goods and components into inventory and creating invoices that meet internal requirements
Monitor stock levels to avoid stockouts
Participate in promoting a team approach at all times.
Be polite, courteous and supportive to all team members.
Work in accordance with training and agreed policies, practices and procedures.
Take ownership of role and suggest improvements
Listen carefully to others and check to ensure understanding
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Experience with the Microsoft suite
Warehouse management experience
Familiarity with invoices and purchase orders
Experience with data entry
Mastery of computers and comfortable with softwares required to perform duties
Ability to communicate effectively with shipping vendors and freight forwarders to ensure timely
deliveries of customer orders while minimizing shipping costs
An eye for detail capable of identifying defects prior to packaging
Ability to comply with instructions.
Capacity to learn new skills quickly
Physically capable of performing duties including lifting, packaging and moving.
Organizational and problem solving skills
Strong inter-personal skills (friendly, caring, patient)
