Job Summary

This position is a key structural component to our team requiring a seasoned executive with experience in production, planning, retail or operations at the corporate level. Reports directly to the CEO and oversees daily operations at the company’s headquarters in Los Angeles, California.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as an advisor to the CEO and senior management team

  • Assist in facilitating effective decision making

  • Coordinate the execution of corporate goals and strategic initiatives

  • Assess inquiries directed to the company, determine the proper course of action and delegate to the appropriate individual to manage

  • Participate in daily meetings with executive team and staff to track performance

  • Review daily production calendar and evaluate work-flow to ensure deadlines are being met

  • Manage client communications, provide order confirmations and updates on deliveries

  • Provide support to wholesale channel and ensure issues are resolved in a timely manner and with the highest level of professionalism

  • Assess staff's strengths and weaknesses to ensure a synergistic work environment

  • Resolve slowdowns in the production or shipping process

  • Communicate directly with staff to comply with standard operating procedures

Inventory & Shipping Manager

Job Summary

An opportunity has arisen for a inventory and shipping manager to work within the Dom Vetro team to manage our shipping and log our inventory. It is important that candidates have a high attention to detail and all shipments conform to quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare daily shipments

  • Pick items to be completed for each order

  • Create invoices and shipping labels per order

  • Maintain accurate record keeping including updates to inventory management and shipping software

  • Create and manage bill of materials

  • Manage fulfillment of orders with USPS, FedEx, and UPS

  • Perform final quality control on outbound shipments

  • Manage inbound shipments for returns and repairs including shipments of raw materials that require stocking

  • Maintain accurate inventory control by logging finished goods and components into inventory and creating invoices that meet internal requirements

  • Monitor stock levels to avoid stockouts

Job Summary

Finishing, edging and mounting lenses, balancing frames, final registration and quality control checks prior to packing orders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Utilize product knowledge to block, mark and edge plano and prescription lenses according to specification to ensure the production of top quality eyewear within expected delivery times

  • Mounting plastic and glass lenses into finished frames

  • Balancing frames prior to final registration

  • Bending temples in accordance with technical drawings

  • Strict adherence to defined standards for fit and final registration of each frame

  • Examine finished products for adherence to quality standards and measurements

  • Order raw lenses according to client prescriptions, including lens coatings and tinting preferences, as well as materials for the factory such as ink, blocking pads, etc.

  • Proper cleaning and handling of lenses to avoid scratches or damage to material

  • Maintain clean, organized and safe workspace

  • Routine maintenance of edging machine and tools

  • Manage inventory of lenses and materials required for production

Key Responsibilities

  • Machine parts to specification using machine tools such as CNC mills and die press

  • Operate additional machines to insert hinges and inject wire cores to complete temples

  • Measure, examine, and test finished parts to ensure conformance to specifications using instruments such as calipers and micrometers

  • Fabricate tooling and parts required to manufacture components

  • Perform routine maintenance on machines as required

  • Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the workshop
